Flexo [configurable]

1. Product designation

Flexo W-FX – electronic furniture lock for wooden and steel furniture, suitable for lockers, cabinets and furniture doors. The lock can be configured as a code variant or RFID variant.

• Code variant (W-FC): up to 999,999 code combinations, memory for up to 50 PIN codes
• RFID variant (W-FR): compatible with MIFARE® Classic 1K and MIFARE® DESFire EV

2. Declaration of conformity

This product complies with the applicable safety and conformity requirements of the European Union.

3. Target group / Intended use

This product notice is intended for qualified users, in particular installers, operators and end users. Installation and commissioning should be carried out by appropriately trained personnel. The lock is intended exclusively for indoor use.

4. General instructions for safe use

• Before installation and commissioning, carefully read the complete operating instructions.
• Installation optionally in a standardized mounting hole pattern (Retro-Fit 16 × 19 mm) or as a recessed version (Flush-Fit 45 × 47 mm).
• Secure the lock with an M19 nut; use the optional anti-rotation device.
• Check installation dimensions and door thickness before installation.
• Operation exclusively at temperatures from 0 °C to 55 °C and an air humidity of 10 % to 80 %.

5. Instructions for the code variant (Flexo.Code)

• Immediately configure an individual master code after initial commissioning.
• If the master code is lost, the lock cannot be reset without professional assistance. In this case, please contact BURG customer service.
• A red LED provides timely indication of decreasing battery voltage.

6. Instructions for the RFID variant (Flexo.RFID)

• Use exclusively with compatible RFID transponders (MIFARE® Classic 1K or MIFARE® DESFire EV).
• Three authorization levels (Master, Manager, User) must be correctly configured.
• When using MIFARE® Classic 1K, observe the occupancy indicator.

Use of own transponders

Transponder media provided by the user must meet the technical requirements (including frequency, memory capacity, unique identification). We recommend contacting our customer service in advance and submitting a sample for compatibility testing.

Note: No warranty or liability claims apply to transponders provided by the user. No liability is assumed for damage, malfunctions or incompatibilities caused by third-party transponders.

7. Battery information

• Operation with 2 × CR123A lithium batteries (high-quality branded batteries recommended).
• External battery access allows battery replacement without removing the lock.
• Batteries can be replaced by the user at any time.

Battery warnings

• Never recharge, disassemble, short-circuit batteries, expose them to extreme heat or throw them into fire.
• Improper handling may lead to explosions or the release of flammable gases.

8. Maintenance and service life

• One set of batteries allows on average several tens of thousands of locking cycles (approx. 25,000, depending on use and configuration).
• Replace batteries in good time when warning signals appear or range is reduced.
• Regularly check mechanical fastenings and retighten if necessary.
• Clean exclusively with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or solvents.

9. Disposal notice

• Dispose of electronic components and batteries separately and properly via suitable collection points.
• Do not dispose of with household waste.

10. Age and usage notice

The Flexo W-FX is intended for adult users in a professional or commercial environment. Children may only operate the lock under supervision.
