The round screw-on lock with 20 mm backset is a mechanical screw lock suitable for installation and use in doors, compartments, lockers, cabinets, workbenches and drawers made of wood. The lock is mostly found in workshops, offices, schools and universities.
Installation and operation
The round screw-on lock is attached to the wooden drawer or door using 3 wood screws. Beforehand, a 21mm round hole must be drilled in the object. The cylinder and housing are then inserted through this hole so that the cylinder sticks out of the front. We recommend finishing the lock with a rosette and refining the transition between the lock and the wooden front. The lock can then be locked or opened with a built-in furniture lock change core (not included in the
delivery
content) and type X key (not included in the delivery content), in which the rigid bolt moves in or out.
Product features
The lock is made of stable and durable die-cast zinc, which is nickel-plated. The simple appearance allows the screw-on lock to adapt to different furniture objects without attracting attention. Exchangeable cylinders can be easily and quickly fitted and removed and replaced with other lock types (keyed different and keyed alike or reproducing). The standardised 21 mm installation hole, which is typical for the BURG furniture lock range, can also be found in the round screw-on lock with 20 mm backset.
Use of accessories
In addition to the furniture lock exchangeable cores, which realize different installation situations through the variants of reproducing, keyed alike and keyed different, there is also the assembly set for mounting the cylinder cores and releasing the knob with the help of the release needle. The knobs offer the wooden furniture the possibility to close the door or the drawer without the necessary use of a key.
