The DS bar lock is a furniture lock made of zamak, which is suitable for use in wooden furniture such as lockers, cupboards and compartments. The use often takes place in offices and educational institutions such as schools or universities and mostly secures files, books or other teaching material.
Assembly and operation
A round 21 mm installation hole is required for installing the filing cabinet lock. The cylinder hole is then inserted through the hole from the inside and fixed with 2 wood screws from the inside. Note the distance between the centre of the cylinder and the inside of the cabinet, where the locking bracket is then installed. The backset should be used for this purpose. Turn bars and a furniture lock cylinder from BURG are still used on the wardrobe lock. Neither is included in the scope of delivery. The 38 mm bar lock is opened and locked with a BURG steel key.
Product features
The espagnolette lock is made of zamak and is manufactured in Germany. This is a quality product with a long service life. Various interchangeable cylinders with different lockings can be installed in the lock, such as different locking, keyed alike and according to the desired locking number (reproducing). Another advantage is the flexibility of the lock, because it can be installed on the left or right side of the furniture and is therefore suitable for both left and right hinged doors.
Suitable accessories
With the furniture lock exchange cylinders from BURG, different locks, keyed alike locks and locks with desired lock numbers can be reproduced on one and the same lock. The installation set for changing the corresponding cylinders or for removing the knobs, which are also part of the accessories range, is also available. You are looking for an exchangeable cylinder for your BURG furniture lock that fits your existing system, suitable for the current product series with exchangeable core cylinder, such as furniture cam locks, screw-on locks, espagnolette locks, push bar locks, glass wing door locks, sliding door locks, central locks, roller blind locks and knobs. Through the Repro ("Reproduction") option, new locking systems are handcrafted according to the desired locking. The new product can be used with the existing keys (X-profile). This makes it possible to renew or expand the system without having to issue new keys. Due to the manual production, the products of the RePro line have a slightly longer delivery time. With the help of the assembly set (not included in the scope of delivery), the cylinders of your BURG furniture lock can be removed, provided that they are not locked. The new cylinder core is inserted into the furniture lock and the assembly key is pulled out. Done! Each exchangeable cylinder is supplied as a set with two matching keys (X-profile). Additional keys can be ordered later. Each exchangeable cylinder is supplied with 2 keys. Additional spare keys (X-profile) can be ordered.
