Free choice of cabinet

"Free choice of cabinet" refers to a procedure in which the user can freely select any unlocked cabinet with his transponder medium if he has not already locked another cabinet with the same transponder. There is no fixed assignment between lock and transponder. As soon as the locker is locked, the locking system stores the occupied identification on the transponder. Further lockers can now no longer be locked. An assignment is defined for the duration of the occupancy. The "free choice of cabinet" allows the user to select exactly the cabinet he or she likes. The procedure also prevents several visitors from being forced to occupy compartments of a locker at the same time and from getting in each other's way.
