HPL

HPL stands for "High Pressure Laminate", so it is laminate pressed under high pressure. HPL is used in many everyday products because of its properties: Table tops, door panels, furniture and kitchen tops are just some of the common applications. Through the use of heat-resistant resins, the finished panels can withstand high temperatures. (e. g. due to cigarette embers and hot pot bottoms) without suffering any damage. The surfaces are easy to maintain and clean, light-resistant as well as odourless and insensitive to alcohol, organic solvents and water (source: Wikipedia). HPL is used especially in fitness and wellness facilities due to its resistance, e.g. for lockers, changing rooms or WC partitions.
