Plug & Play
Plug and Play is English for "plug in and get started", also Plug & also Play (PnP for short). The term originates from the field of computer technology, where it describes the property of a computer to be able to connect new devices - mostly peripherals - without having to install device drivers or make settings afterwards. In locking systems, the term is used when the functionality is directly available without any additional assembly, configuration or installation effort. Plug-and-play stands for cost savings. For example, changing room and compartment lockers (e.g. in a fitness changing room) that are equipped with a plug-and-play locking system can be put into operation immediately after delivery.
