Retrofit
Retrofit means the modernisation or removal of existing (usually older or no longer produced) locking systems. Retrofit locking systems are designed in such a way that the existing installation situation can be used. For example, the standard installation hole of cam locks or sash locks (16x19 mm) can be used for modern RFID locking systems. The locking system can be screwed into the existing hole without time-consuming drilling and milling. Retrofitting is therefore cost-effective and often eliminates the need to purchase new furniture such as wardrobes and lockers. The existing locker room can be integrated into the access control system by means of a retrofit locking system.
