Zamak
Locking systems that are exposed to intensive daily use require a material that is characterised by stability and value. This material is ZAMAK®, a fine zinc alloy. The name is derived from a stringing together of the first letters of the alloy components zinc, aluminium, magnesium and copper. The excellent casting properties of ZAMAK® enable the production of complex die-cast parts. ZAMAK® is also characterised by its resilience. For example, the housings of BURG's electronic locking systems (B-Smart-Lock) are cast from this material, making them considerably more stable and of higher quality. A clear advantage over housings made of injection-moulded plastic.
