Which batteries should be used?
-The use of high-quality brand batteries is absolutely essential for the lock to function correctly. The locking systems are approved ex works for the specified VARTA brand industrial batteries. The use of other batteries can lead to a reduced number of possible locking cycles. In addition, limited functionality and/or functional problems are likely. Experience shows that other batteries, even with the same specifications, have different performance characteristics. Therefore, BURG does not guarantee the (functionality) of the lock when using batteries other than those specified above.

3. Important safety information
- Mount only with the supplied screws on a suitable flat surface.
- Code entry and RFID use only with compatible transponders (MIFARE® Classic 1K or MIFARE® DESFire EV).
- Auto-alarm after 4 failed opening attempts.
- Correctly configure private or multiuser mode.
4. Use of own transponders
Requirements: Own transponders must meet compatible frequency, memory capacity and clear marking requirements. We recommend contacting our customer service in advance and testing with a sample.

No liability or warranty claims are accepted for self-provided transponders. Any damage, malfunction or incompatibility caused by third-party transponders is the responsibility of the user. Ensure compliance with technical requirements.
5. Battery information
- Required: 4 × AA alkaline batteries (1.5 V, high-quality brand batteries recommended).
- Replacement possible by the user at any time.
- Emergency power supply via USB-C port.
- Batteries not included in delivery.
6. Safety & notes
- Use only AA alkaline batteries (1.5 V). Do not use rechargeable cells or button cells.
- Battery compartment is childproof lockable (screw/tool required).
- Do not dispose of batteries in household waste; use designated collection points.
- BURG offers take-back and disposal services in line with EU directives.
7. Maintenance and service life
- Check fastening regularly and retighten if necessary.
- One battery set (4 × AA) provides on average up to approx. 20,000 locking cycles, depending on usage and environmental conditions.
- Replace batteries in good time to avoid malfunctions.
- Clean the lock with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaners or solvents.

For professional adult users. Children may operate the lock only under supervision.
